Welcome to Wartime Reflections.
Bringing the Second World War to Life for learners

Wartime Reflections delivers engaging Second World War themed workshops for primary and secondary age groups, combining historical artefacts, interactive challenges and storytelling to help pupils explore life in wartime Britain.

Led by a qualified teacher with a Master’s degree in Second World War Studies, our sessions are designed to spark curiosity, encourage discussion and bring history to life beyond the textbook.

Through hands-on sessions, decision-making activities and immersive storytelling, learners will discover what life was really like on the British Home Front during the Second World War.

We also deliver our sessions online if this is something you require.

Alongside our workshops, we've also created Alton Haypun At War, an online wartime story and teaching resource set in a fictional British village, helping learners explore wartime life through narrative and investigation. You can explore the village HERE or by clicking on the link at the top of the page.

About Wartime Reflections

Wartime Reflections was created to make the history of the Second World War engaging, memorable and accessible for learners of all ages.

Rather than simply listening to a lesson, learners take part in activities that encourage them to handle artefacts, solve problems and make the same difficult decisions faced by people during the war.

All workshops are designed to support the history curriculum and topic learning while offering a memorable experience learners will talk about long after the session ends.

Our workshops are designed to fit easily into the school day and can be delivered as:

-
Individual class sessions
-
Whole year group workshops
