About

I am a fully qualified Teacher with five and a half years experience across Key Stage 1 and 2. I have a passion for history, espescially World War 2, and can help you to bring your topic to life through my exciting and engaging workshops in your setting.

Since completing my Teacher Training in 2010, I have taught in four different Primary settings in Cornwall. I am now looking to bring my passion for history as well as my Teaching experience together again to offer pupils the chance to deepen their learning about a subject in which some of their close relatives experienced first hand.

As a former World War 2 Re-enactor, it is hugely important to me that the younger generations understand what their relatives went through and sacrificed in a bid to make the world peaceful again and to try to ensure people were safe and free from oppression and annihilation.

Both my Teaching experience and Re-enacting have enabled me to understand and develop methods of delivering information to a variety of audiences and ages more effectively.

I have an up to date DBS available online.

I look forward to hopefully meeting you and your class in the near future!

Fun and engaging history at your fingertips!

Our Workshops have been designed in line with the 2014 National Curriculum.

They are delivered through a visit to your class by a "Wartime Visitor", bringing role-play into the learning experience from the very start.

Not only will the children be able to see and handle real artefacts as well as replicas from the Second World War, which otherwise would have to be purchased by the school or parents at a large cost, they'll also be taking part in real exercises from the war period.

Teamwork has been heavily built into the activities to encourage interaction and speaking and listening skills, whilst also encouraging a spirit that saw the war generation through the hard times.
