About

I am a fully qualified Teacher with five and a half years experience across Key Stage 1 and 2. I have an MA in Second World War: Conflict, Societies, Holocaust and passion for history in general! I can help you bring your topic to life through my exciting and engaging workshops in your setting.

I'm on the left in this picture taken at Trengwainton Wartime Weekend.

After completing my teacher training in 2010, I taught in four different Primary settings in Cornwall. Now, I bring my passion for history as well as my teaching experience together to offer pupils the chance to deepen their learning about a subject in which some of their relatives experienced first hand.

As a former World War 2 Re-enactor, it is hugely important to me that the younger generations understand what their relatives went through and sacrificed in a bid to make the world peaceful again and to try to ensure people were safe and free from oppression and annihilation.

Both my teaching experience and re-enacting have enabled me to understand and develop methods of delivering information to a variety of audiences and ages more effectively.

I have an up to date DBS available to view online.

I look forward to hopefully meeting you and your class in the near future!

Fun and engaging history at your fingertips!

My workshops have been designed in line with the National Curriculum.

They are delivered in person by a "wartime visitor", bringing role-play into the learning experience from the very start.

Not only will the students be able to see and handle real artefacts as well as replicas from the Second World War, which otherwise would have to be purchased by the school or parents at a large cost, they'll also be taking part in real exercises from the war period.

Teamwork has been heavily built into the activities to encourage interaction and speaking and listening skills, whilst also encouraging a spirit that saw the war generation through the hard times.
